vNinja.net Privacy Policy

vNinja.net  is a privately owned and operated site run by Christian Mohn.

What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?

Comments

Comments are disabled to avoid collecting any Personally Identifiable Information. Please feel free to reach out to me, or the guest author, on Twitter if you have any feedback.

Media

Media uploads are disabled for visitors. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymized  tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Where we send your data

WordPress.com Stats

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, the timestamp of an event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

Ads

Advertisements on vNinja.net are paid for in full by the advertisers. This does not in any way, shape or form, constitute an endorsement of a given company or product. It´s an advertisement, treat it as such.

Some of the ads displayed on vNinja.net contain a tracking code, in order for the advertiser to track where link clicks originate. vNinja.net does not send any Personally Identifiable Information to any advertisers.

No other data is sent to any other 3rd party.

How long we retain your data

You have the right to know how long we retain your data, and we cannot hold your data indefinitely. We do not retain any Personally Identifiable Information.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to receive a copy of any data we hold on you. Because we deliberately are not recording any of your data, that export would be empty.
